Catalog format
The catalog format for frames and sunglasses is an extension of the within of the SPECTARIS project developed standard format for contact lenses. Also for frames and sunglasses basically the following applications shall be covered:
- Product catalog as a basis for providing the optician and ophthalmologist with current catalog and pricing of the supplier for take-over in his management software. Use as a basis for online stores.
- Order of frames, sunglasses and accessories through a uniform XML format. The format structure is for all product groups (contact lenses, sunglasses, frames, merchandise...) identical. It differs only by the use of different product characteristics.
- Comparison of order status with ERPs of the manufacturers (availability, order confirmation, delivery feedback...). This part is product group independent and doesn't differ from the format for contact lenses. A new request is to be able to give orders additional information (Keratograph data for CL / shape data for frames respectively remote edging orders).
